Well, for me today signals the end of Christmas and we have a week to recover before partying for New Year begins (which in my opinion is far more exciting than Christmas).
Its time now to start thinking about New Years Resolutions and all of that jazz. I do know that this year a friend and I are planning to do the 1000 press up/sit up January Challenge (yes, complicated title I know). The concept is rather simple. During the month of January I have opted to do 1000 sit ups (since I can't actually do a press up at all) and he shall do 1000 press ups. That works out roughly to be 33 press ups per day during January.
Eeek.
I did try to see if I could actually do 33 press ups. I can. Just. I nearly died though. This could be a struggle.
Of course you don't have to do exactly 33 at all. You could do 22 one day and 44 another or simply do one on the 1st and 999 on the 30th... (although to be honest I don't suggest that...).
So if you are brave (or just crazy) and you fancy trying this out with me then drop me a note and I shall look forward to hearing from you. I shall, of course, keep you updated on my progress (or lack of - depending on how it goes).
However now I'm off for a curry with some friends that I haven't seen for at least 4 years. I'm quite excited to be honest...
And who doesn't love a good curry.
Here is a quick look at my outfit for this evening - I wanted something casual and a bright jewel colour as that is my usual style... Let me know what you think. And sorry for the poor quality it was taken on a webcam on my laptop.
Oh and for those of you that don't own a No. 7 lipstick - go and buy one. The one I am wearing is a light bronze colour and it is INCREDIBLE. Sorry. I just had to say...
Have a fab evening.

Why do I have a weakness for Éclairs??
So yeah I just took the last éclair. I am so regretting it now. Is it a necessity to get fat over Christmas so that your new years resolution is to open a new gym membership and lose the 4 stone that you put on in the over indulgent December holiday...
Oh well, on the bright side it tasted good.
MMMmmmmm calories...
SO everybody having fun on Christmas Eve??
I just read this poem by Clement Clarke Moore and thought it was darling! Read it out loud and it really is adorable:
Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!
"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"
As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.
His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
Have a fabulous Christmas! Three and a half hours until Christmas!!

Christmas Eve
Heya,
What do you do on Christmas Eve?
Spend time with your family? Hide from the world? Eat too much Chocolate? Work?
Well for me it could be any of the above. Unfortunately this year it is an evening with the thrilling conversation of the grandparents. (OK so its a bit slow and minorly dull but I guess it could be worse. There could not be fabulous buffet food, courtesy of my wonderful Mama.)
What makes it all the more painful however, is this truly awful cold I have. I seem to have been able to use up about 4 boxes of tissues in the last 2 hours and still need to blow my nose in order to breathe. Nobody should be ill over Christmas. It's just not fair. And so to all you fellow ill people out there: Keep smiling. WE SHALL GET THROUGH IT. (That is only if Papa doesn't kill me first for sniffing.) (or if I don't keel over from a chocolate overdose).
I guess Christmas eve you are supposed to spend getting relaxed and ready to be super excited for tomorrow and presents and - more food.
But this year I can't seem to get in a christmassy mood. I just want to sleep. And sleep some more.
It's just, do you not think that being forced to listen to christmas songs on every radio station since the end of November sort of kills the mood...
Well round one of food is ready so I must go and eat too much - standard.
Have a rather pleasant evening and I shall catch up with you soon.
Au Revior.

Simplicity Within Complication
Hi Guys!
So it's Christmas Eve and I thought to myself: 'Today is the day to start my new blog'.
To be perfectly honest this isn't the first time I've tried. I have failed to update a number of them but this time I really am going to try. Really Hard.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself:
I am 17 years old and I am currently taking 3 A levels (English Language, Textiles and Economics) - originally I took 4 but I dropped French. Seriously, learning a language is IMPOSSIBLE. I went through a phase where the subject actually made me suicidal....
So dropping it was a decision I made for the benefit of my health.
Anywho, that's the boring spiel so you can pretend you actually know me...
Basically, this blog is going to be a bit of everything. Some fashioney bits and pieces could pop up alongside a rant or two, or even just the mistakes of life that I feel the need to tell you (and trust me, since I am the clumsiest person you will probably ever speak to - there will be a lot - so if you ever see anyone falling over in the street... come over and say hi. Its probably me...)
So join me in my adventures, in search of perfection and all that jazz.
My journey in the virtual world has already started on tumblr, so if you are reading this and you have a tumblr blog then go over and look at that:
www.perfectionisparadise.tumblr.com
Oh and drop me a note to say hi. I don't bite - promise.
So yes, I have probably decided subconsciously to write this after a seriously boring afternoon and a love of the lifestyle of Carrie Bradshaw but heigh ho. Lets see how long it lasts...
SO this is me signing off my first post. (Although since I am truly bored it shall be followed by another - Christmas themed of course).
Tally ho!
